Frequently Asked Questions

It's £1,200 +VAT per day for up to 20 crew, for a 9 hour day. We don't generally offer half days in the summer high season, however at off peak times we may be able to offer a half day (6 hours maximum), booked 1 week in advance, for £800 +VAT.

Shoot agencies need to ensure commission does not come off our fees above, but should be added in addition to our fees.
Our standard rate is based on up to 20 people. We allow larger crews for additional cost - please complete the enquiry form.
There is an overtime charge as follows:

Planned overtime booked in advance £130 per hour or part hour + VAT

Unplanned overtime £200 per hour or part hour +VAT
It is 30% to secure the dates, then the balance would be due 45 days prior to the event date.
Yes, we can. We are able to accommodate larger crews for photo shoots and filming. Please fill out our enquiry form and we will get back to you - POA.
We offer Shoot & Stay min 4 nights school term time and min 2 nights during school holidays. We sleep 10 guests in 5 bedrooms. The cost to stay per night is an additional £1250 + VAT per night, on top of the day rate for the shoot. Please complete enquiry form to confirm our availability.

We can also provide a list of recommended local accommodation, allowing you and your attendees to stay nearby while enjoying The Water Shed during the daytime. Should you wish to extend your experience, it is also possible to book The Water Shed for multiple consecutive days and stay locally overnight.
You are welcome to bring in your own chefs or caterers of choice; The Water Shed has a well-equipped kitchen that you can use during your time there.
All hirers must hold appropriate, up-to-date insurance, including a minimum of £5 million public liability cover, and provide proof of this on booking.

It is essential teams carry out risk assessments that are catered to their specific shoot / event. We have a generic risk assessment here to alert you to some of the main risks that we have identified.

The use of The Water Shed, its surrounding grounds and facilities are entered and used entirely at your own risk - and The Water Shed Owners and their team can accept no responsibility for injury, death, loss or damage to yourselves, your party or your possessions. Likewise, any issues that occur as a result of you using external parties or suppliers that The Water Shed Owners or their team recommend or otherwise, will have no connection or liability on The Water Shed, their team and The Owners.
For a 9 hour day, we offer the following timing options:

08:00 - 17:00

08:30 - 17:30

09:00 - 18:00

Yes, you can store your things in the property. We have lots of space.
Parking:
We can fit 15-20 cars on our private driveway. Additional cars can park for free on Stumps Lane (2 min drive / 10 mins walk) or in large very affordable, open air local car park in Bosham (5 mins drive).

All vehicles must be parked on our private driveway, none to be parked on the grass verges next to the road or on the road itself.

Access:

We have good access for vans and lorries up to 7.5 tonne in size. We have large access into the building at multiple points.
Illegal or indecent photography or videography; no smoking or vaping inside; no cigarettes outside near the house, wooden decking, planting or outdoor furniture - gravel areas only; no lit candles inside; no animals without prior written agreement. Full list detailed in our Terms & Conditions.
