Frequently Asked Questions
£1200 plus VAT, for a 9 hour day for up to 20 people. We can allow up to 50 people for an additional cost - POA.
The venue can host up to around 20 guests, depending on the nature of the activity. If you would like to host more, we can host up to 50 for an additional cost, please fill out our enquiry form above.
It is 30% to secure the dates, then the balance would be due 45 days prior to the retreat date.
We don't offer overnight stays in term-time, however should you wish to explore staying at the Water Shed you can find our availability on our booking page here: https://www.thewatershed.co.uk/book
We can also provide a list of recommended local accommodation, allowing you and your attendees to stay nearby while enjoying The Water Shed during the daytime. Should you wish to extend your experience, it is also possible to book The Water Shed for multiple consecutive days and stay locally overnight.You are welcome to bring in your own chefs or caterers of choice; The Water Shed has a well-equipped kitchen that you can use during your time there.
We've hosted everything from corporate team-building days and brand launches to anniversary celebrations and photography, painting and tennis days. Please feel free to fill out our enquiry form and we can explore how we can make a event work for you.
All hirers must hold appropriate, up-to-date insurance, including a minimum of £5 million public liability cover, and provide proof of this on booking.
Yes! We’re pleased to host special occasions such as family celebrations, anniversaries and corporate retreats. However, we are not a party house and cannot accommodate events that are likely to be loud, high-impact or disruptive to our neighbours. All gatherings must be respectful of the property and its peaceful surroundings. We ask guests to share details of any planned event when enquiring, and reserve the right to decline bookings that we feel may not be a suitable fit. Our priority is to protect the house, maintain good relationships with our neighbours, and ensure every stay is an enjoyable one.
Illegal or indecent photography or videography; no smoking or vaping inside; no cigarettes outside near the house, wooden decking, planting or outdoor furniture - gravel areas only; no lit candles inside; no animals without prior written agreement. Full list detailed in our Terms & Conditions.
